Private beta: The first-party ImaCash integration is ready for controlled testing with Odoo 17, 18 and 19 before real payments are enabled.
First-party connector, without SmartHoreca
The module and protocol were developed and are maintained by Imagina IT Solutions. The installation does not depend on the SmartHoreca bridge or third-party components.
Direct payment from Odoo POS
In Odoo 19, the method is registered as Cash Machine (ImaCash). Odoo 17 and 18 use those versions’ payment terminal contract. The cashier selects the ImaCash method to request a cash payment and waits for confirmation.
Reconcile before duplicating
If the response is lost or the wait expires, keep the reference and query the same transaction. Check its status in Odoo, ImaCash and the device before taking another payment.
Odoo 17, 18 and 19
Each version has its own installable package. This initial beta supports positive cash payments only; it does not process cards, refunds or grouped operations.
Protected installation
The module is downloaded from authenticated Cloud dependencies and requires ImaCash 4.4.3.1031 or later. The Odoo origin, database UUID and pairing secret bind both installations.
Set up pairing
An administrator must install the ImaCash POS Connector module for Odoo 17, 18 or 19 from the authenticated Cloud dependencies. Your Odoo installation must support custom modules and include Point of Sale.
- In Odoo, open Point of Sale → Configuration → Payment Methods. Create or edit a method with a cash journal and enable Use ImaCash. Assign the method to the point of sale that will use it.
- In the method’s ImaCash tab, the administrator sets the local ImaCash endpoint and maximum payment wait. Check the Odoo origin and database UUID, and configure the private pairing secret.
- In ImaCash, open Configuration → Integration → POS → Odoo. Server IP and Port refer to the local service on the workstation. Database name receives the Odoo web origin without a path. User receives the database UUID and Password receives the same pairing secret.
- When leaving Configuration, save the changes when ImaCash asks. You can continue editing to correct them or leave without saving to discard pending changes. Reload the POS using Odoo’s procedure and check that the ImaCash method appears at the point of sale.
Pairing data is private. An Odoo administrator manages the secret and enters it at both ends. ImaCash must be running on the workstation with the Odoo integration started and the currency matching the payment.
Test and expected result
Before enabling real payments, the responsible technician must check the full flow on the same workstation and with the same currency. The POS confirmation must match the ImaCash transaction. Installing the module and reading this guide do not establish device validation.
