VGaleno configuration

This integration has an additional cost beyond the standard ImaCash licence. Confirm the terms with Imagina before commissioning.

1. Details VGaleno must provide

VGaleno must install a compatible 32-bit Informix driver and its prerequisites, prepare the system DSN and authentication, and confirm private connection settings, structure, read and confirmation permissions, and the drawer ID for that workstation. The pack helps prepare Windows; it does not replace the provider’s installation or validation.

2. Choose an existing or a new ODBC connection

ImaCash requires the 32-bit IBM INFORMIX ODBC DRIVER, even on 64-bit Windows. The pack uses 32-bit Windows PowerShell 5.1. If VGaleno has already prepared a working DSN, check it directly; do not rebuild it by default.

Download ImaCash VGaleno 1.0.1 (x86) from Admin or Distributor Dependencies. The complete ZIP includes the PowerShell assistant, IBM Informix Client SDK 4.10.TC16W4 and Visual C++ 2013 x86. Confirm workstation and server compatibility with VGaleno.

If ODBC is already prepared

Arrange a normal ImaCash shutdown with no operations in progress. Extract the complete ZIP and run COMPROBAR.cmd directly with the actual ImaCash Windows user and permissions, entering the existing x86 system DSN. You do not need INICIAR.cmd or to recreate the DSN. If the check succeeds, continue with the confirmed drawer and ImaCash fields. If the connection is missing, follow the preparation steps below with VGaleno.

If the DSN is missing: preparation with VGaleno

1. INICIAR.cmd: extract the whole ZIP to a local folder; do not run it inside the archive. Close ImaCash normally with no operations in progress, then open this file. Windows will request administrator permission to prepare the workstation.
2. If Visual C++ 2013 x86 or the Informix x86 driver is missing, the assistant opens the included official installers. Complete their dialogs and terms; this is not a silent installation. If they request a Windows restart, restart and open INICIAR.cmd again.
3. Only when preparing a new DSN: enter the private settings confirmed by VGaleno, including DSN name, server, TCP port, Informix instance, database and drawer ID. Kit 1.0.1 requires a numeric port even when a service alias is supplied; it does not discover the port from that alias. hosts, services, ClientLocale and DatabaseLocale are provider options. The assistant does not discover the drawer or change ImaCash.
4. When creating a new DSN, the official driver dialog opens to complete authentication. The assistant does not request or save passwords in PowerShell, JSON or reports. If a matching existing DSN is reused, that dialog does not reopen automatically; review its authentication with VGaleno if necessary.

Enter the private details of the account authorised by VGaleno in the local configuration. It needs read access and the write permissions required by the integration to confirm operations; read-only access is not sufficient. Do not grant general administration rights.

It saves verified backups before changing hosts or services. It does not overwrite an incompatible DSN or aliases pointing elsewhere: stop and review any conflict with the provider. It does not change the firewall, antivirus or server security. TLS or another protocol requires a compatible profile confirmed by VGaleno.

3. Check under the actual ImaCash user

COMPROBAR.cmd: close the elevated setup window and run this file with the same Windows user and privileges as ImaCash. It does not request elevation: if ImaCash does not run as administrator, do not elevate this check either. Enter the DSN name. The check takes at most 30 seconds, opens the DSN without adding a user or password and queries only the read structure, without retrieving sales or names or writing business data.

ImaCash opens the DSN without adding a user or password to the connection. A technician must check opening and closing under the Windows account that will run ImaCash, without interactive credential entry. The driver's isolated connection test does not by itself prove that authentication.

A successful result proves only connectivity and the read structure; it does not validate the cash register or write permissions for confirming operations. Do not use a real payment as a connection test. Receiving sales and confirming them requires a supervised test agreed with VGaleno, using the same cash register, account and server version.

4. Complete the ImaCash fields

1. The assistant does not change the ImaCash configuration. Open Configuration > Integration and select the POS category and VGaleno. Pharmacy belongs to the old documentation.
2. In Nombre de la BBDD, enter exactly General > Data Source Name from the checked 32-bit DSN. Do not enter the driver’s User Id, Database Name or Service: these are different fields.
3. In ID Cajón, enter the exchange drawer confirmed by VGaleno for that workstation. It need not match the terminal and does not identify the cash machine. For several authorised drawers, separate their numeric IDs with commas and no spaces. COMPROBAR.cmd does not discover this value: do not assume a number or create payments to find it.
4. Agree commissioning with VGaleno before saving and enabling the integration: operational startup may find pending operations. Do not change other parameters without the provider's confirmation.
