Set up Cervantes using transaction codes
Cervantes is selected as a POS integration. It reads a transaction code prepared for this exchange; it does not look up a product EAN or identify a cash device named Cervantes.
The provider must confirm the code format and installation workflow. The code contains the transaction reference and amount; do not invent it or replace it with a product code.
Setup and reading steps
- With the provider, prepare the reader to enter the complete sixteen-digit code, preserving leading zeros. Also check the assigned ImaCash user and configured cash device.
- Open Configuration > Integration > POS and select Cervantes. This selector does not request a server, account, password or folder. Configure the cash device connection separately under Machine.
- Close the changed configuration and choose to save. Review the result and accept a proposed restart only when appropriate. Saving does not check code reading or validate the device.
- Read the transaction code on the main screen. Check shop, terminal, reference, amount and sign before continuing. Ask the provider to review incomplete or rejected codes; do not change digits to force acceptance.
- Check each authorized workflow under supervision with the provider and configured device. Parsing a code or displaying an amount does not confirm a payment or cash refund.
Scope and limits
Reading is code-based; it does not automatically retrieve sales history by date or import product, shop, seller or shift catalogs. It does not provide a bank card total.
It does not write confirmation or cancellation to the POS. Local confirmation does not prove a changed state at the source. The selector does not enable cancellation or resynchronization; if the result is uncertain, check the transaction and actual cash before repeating or restarting.
The provider must validate the format, references, amounts and supported workflows before commercial use. This guide does not validate all devices or physical operation.
The historical screenshot shows Retail and a Save button. The current workflow is POS > Cervantes, saving on closing. Its plate-and-cutlery pictogram does not identify a manufacturer; the header uses ImaCash’s own brand.
