Configure Animalia with ImaCash
This guide covers the Animalia connector in the ImaCash selector. Before configuring it, ask the software administrator to confirm that the data source and its structure match this installation.
Preparation and configuration
- With your technician, install the Microsoft Visual FoxPro OLE DB provider (VFPOLEDB) compatible with 32-bit ImaCash. Confirm the appropriate version and the permissions of the Windows user who will run ImaCash.
- Open Configuration > Integration, select the POS category and then Animalia.
- In Transactions, use the file selector to specify the active data source confirmed by the supplier. Keep its associated files and access under the actual ImaCash user; do not select an old backup or an arbitrary folder.
- Save the configuration. Check the data read and compare dates, amounts, terminals and sellers with known source documents before enabling automatic use.
The field takes the Visual FoxPro data source confirmed by the supplier: a database or a folder of free tables. The button selects files; if a folder is confirmed, enter its path in the field. Selecting a table does not automatically change the value to its folder. Keep the associated tables. The form does not request a SQL server, username or password.
Amounts and payment methods
The connector reads the recorded amount and presents it as cash. It does not automatically distinguish cards, credit, mixed payments or change; Accept cards does not add this breakdown. Review the scope of the records before using them. A negative amount does not prove a physical cash refund.
Terminals, sellers and filters
Transactions contain the terminal and seller identifiers received from the source. The connector does not provide a catalogue of names or verify the physical workstation by itself. Check these identifiers and the effect of any local filter with your technician.
Scope and checks
This connector reads transactions; it does not import products or shifts and does not write confirmations or cancellations to Animalia. Cancelling in ImaCash does not prove cancellation in the source application. A successful connection does not establish complete data retrieval or validate a combination of versions, computer and cash machine.
